PROVEN EFFECTIVE: I developed them in my credit classes at the University of
Minnesota. I've watched hundreds of students learn better judo faster.
FITS EASILY INTO YOUR EXISTING ROUTINE: They do not take the place of your
regular warm-up routine, but easily and quickly supplement it as you see fit. You can run through all of
them in less than a minute apiece, or you can make them into a vigorous exercise series.
STUDENTS LEARN FASTER: How many warm-ups do you do that would fill-in-the-blank

to improve the throw.
KANO'S JUDO PRINCIPLES AT WORK: Each exercise relates to how a judo throw works,
while at the same time warming up and strengthening the critical part of the body that is used for the throw.
It’s "Optimum use of your effort".
Read about Judo Gremlins, and learn how to tame them.
Some say, "The best exercise for judo is judo." NO. The best exercises for judo are judo specific exercises.
This book will add new clarity to your understanding of linear and circular forces in judo.

Thirty-five some years and many dan grades later, I created these exercises. I was reminded of the yondan's
counsel.
